Winter

The Upper Laurentians has close to 2,000 km (1,245 miles) of well-marked trails accessible to all services. Snowmobile is the main tourist activity in the area in the winter. In fact, the first TransQuébec trail was created in the area. Our trails connect to those in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, La Mauricie, Bois-Franc, Lanaudière and the Outaouais region. Get your snowmobile trail map of the Outaouais-Laurentians area to discover our great area by snowmobile.

What better way is there to discover the various attractions of the area than to follow different itineraries?

There are 10 cross-country skiing centres that are maintained year round by non-profit organizations and volunteers. Les 6 cantons cross-country skiing club has 60 km (37 miles) of trails and a unique three-story log cabin the only one of its kind. How about cross-country skating? The Mont-Laurier and Val-Barrette clubs are proud to offer you cross-country skating. Do you cross-country ski just to get into the country? How about going among the deer in Lac-du-Cerf, Kiamika or even Chute-Saint-Philippe? If you're interested in a great adventure, head out to the Papineau-Labelle Wildlife Reserve through the Nominingue Lake cross-country skiing club.

Are you interested in the virgin snow and the nostalgia of trapping? There are six professional mushers in the Upper Laurentians with first-rate dogs. We are offering packages with night in camp or at the Auberge.
